One of the greatest innovations of American culture is a long-standing, vibrant, self-governing civil society where people associate freely to form healthy social connections and to overcome barriers to opportunity. Perhaps more than ever, the voluntary sector has the potential to meet public needs and lead the way in helping individuals and families overcome the challenges of poverty, addiction, and despair.
As a Manager, Poverty Initiatives you will work to translate vision and strategy into actionable plans with prioritized goals and objectives. You will help develop and promote our vision of what facilitates the creation of healthy communities. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with our priority initiative team to develop, facilitate, and implement knowledge channels and processes that position the team with the right information to make optimal decisions.
We seek to foster a society and culture of strong and safe communities where all people can learn, contribute, and realize their full potential. In such flourishing communities the basic rights and dignity of all people are secure, voluntary social institutions support individuals in developing and using their unique capabilities, and a robust culture of both commercial and social enterprise helps provide many avenues to social and economic opportunity. Come join Stand Together philanthropic community as we foster a national conversation about these ideas, advancing academic research and applied policy solutions to foster a more robust civil society.
