    Are you a creative that has great attention to detail?  We are seeking a Director of Digital Production, known internally as Director of Production Operations, to lead strategy and manage the video production schedule for the communications team.  You will be in charge of overseeing the delivery process from the top level and will work with various team members to create broadcast, documentary, web, and educational content. This individual is a liaison between the production team and our clients and partners. In this role, you will oversee the Production Manager, Post-Production Supervisor, and Digital Asset Manager.

     

    The Director of Production Operations is an integral part of the team’s success and should think of themselves as a partner who thinks outside the box, innovates, and leads projects.

     

     

    Your Responsibilities Include

    • Coordinate and supervise the pre- and post-production leads through editorial, sound mix, color correction, QC and creation of deliverables, and distribution
    • Create the schedule for phases of production to meet project deadlines
    • Update internal and external personnel on the status of projects and requests
    • Recruit, hire, and oversee freelance editors, motion graphics artists, colorists, and more as needed
    • Coordinate with internal partners when sharing assets for review
    • Deliver actualized budgets and complete wrap documents upon the completion of each project

    Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

    • 7+ years of editing, producing, and/or pre/post production supervising experience
    • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment
    • Experience and familiarity with the full post-production process
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects effectively
    • Team player
    • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and attention to detail
    • Financial and budget management experience
    • Ability to think critically and adapt rapidly to change

    • Experience with Productions Cameras (eg: Red, ARRI, Sony FS7, Canon C500)
    • High level understanding of technology related to post-production, including but not limited to:
      • After Effects
      • Pro-Tools
      • Premiere Pro
      • Media Encoder
    • Experience with file-based workflows, codecs, and compression schemes for broadcast and social deliverables

    • Local and non-local post-production resources
    • Data management systems, DAM solutions, and workflows
    • Supervisory experience in production management
