  • Overview

    The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud integrations, automation, and custom applications.  Join a team of innovative developers where you will determine the operational feasibility of these components to maintain and grow the functionality of the organization.  In addition, this role will construct and test applications, systems, and software to meet business needs.  You will also collaborate with Product Management, IT Operations, and Engineering teams in an environment where continuous improvement, innovation and experimentation is at the core of our operation.

     

     

    Your Responsibilities Include

    • Collaborate on our middleware strategies as we integrate complex software systems to provide value across a range of equally complex business partners 
    • Recommend effective architectures for scalability and continuous deployment 
    • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to help define and prioritize the product roadmap based on business requirements and technical lift 
    • Research and formulate best practices for application integration architecture 
    • Teach, coach, and mentor Junior Engineers 
    • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to remove blockers, refine stories, plan Sprints, and demo functionality to diverse business stakeholders 
    • Estimate effort and ensure timely delivery of products 
    • Sunset existing point-to-point integrations 

     

    Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

    • 2 years of implementing software integration using middleware platforms (WorkatoMulesoft, etc.)
    • 1-2 years of experience with popular languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, Ruby, etc. )
    • 1-2 years of experience with Agile and iterative delivery 
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders 
    • Demonstrated ability to provide technical and professional mentorship 
    • Understanding of REST and ability to build REST APIs 
    • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Bitbucket Pipelines, Bamboo, etc.)
