Overview

Stand Together is seeking an entry-level professional interested in building their skillset in Security!  We are looking for a customer-focused Security Access Control Coordinator to assist in managing existing security protocols and developing and implementing improvements upon them for our community at our headquarters in Arlington, VAYou will be the first response and primary point of contact for our customers when it comes to security access control of the facilities.  In this role, you will collaborate with a small team of dedicated professionals who are responsible for ensuring the security of our employees, partners, and volunteers as they work to promote a free and open society. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to learn, innovate, and achieve meaningful results in the field of security. 

 

 

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Keeping the community up to date on security for headquarters including training new employees on security procedures and conducting small group sessions as needed

  • Managing access control databases, ensuring data accuracy and performing operator-level system maintenance

  • Assisting in the conduct of forensic investigations and preparing both written and oral assessments

  • Developing innovative security solutions to meet existing and emerging customer needs

  • Providing prompt and professional support to customers, colleagues, and business partners

  • Assisting in the development and performance of small group training sessions and materials

 

Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

  • 1+ years of professional experience

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Meticulous attention-to-detail, data entry or data analytics experience preferred

  • Customer-focused and solutions-oriented

  • Strong written and oral communication

  • Ability to operate with discretion, built trust, and apply independent judgement when needed to inform security protocol

  • Ability to work and be responsive outside of typical business hours, as needed

 

Standout Candidates May Also Bring

  • Experience with Genetec Access Control software

  • Experience managing vendor relationships, to include initial vetting, proposal development, execution supervision

  • 2-3 years’ experience in the security field

  • Experience as a front desk attendant
