The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all donations and other cash receipts from various Stand Together Community Organizations with the appropriate level of urgency, compliance with IRS codes, and sensitivity toward donor privacy.  The Revenue Accounting Manager will oversee the creation of any invoices and corresponding collection activities for intra-organizational expenses. We are looking for someone with an operational mindset to help us achieve real-time data visibility into our fundraising pipeline and cash flow.  You’ll supervise one direct report and collaborate closely with our Technical Accounting, Compliance, Financial Planning & Analysis and Development teams to accomplish this.


Your Responsibilities Include

  • Manage complete revenue process from receipt of donations to recording in the financial system
  • Oversee generation of intra-community and other invoices to ensure timely cash movements between various organizations and timely collection
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure that donations are handled with care and precision, enabling timely and accurate communications with our donors
  • Partner with Technical Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to ensure that the necessary information is being tracked and the proper analysis can be done
  • Respond to accounting-related ad hoc requests from philanthropic community staff and donors as needed
  • Drive operational excellence within the team; consistently improving results through process improvement, better leveraging technology, and other innovations
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in daily responsibilities and adhere to the values of Stand Together
  • Supervise one Accounts Receivable employee; providing feedback and mentorship in alignment with our Market Based Management® culture


Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience or a demonstrated ability to provide feedback and mentorship to others
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
  • Clear, concise, polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Non-profit accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience including audit experience
  • Accounts Receivable experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting system
