With plans mapped out, you’re able to guide your teammates through a challenging rhythm of checkpoints and across the finish line on projects across a portfolio. 

As part of the portfolio management capability, you will work on one of Stand Together’s strategic initiative teams to break barriers and help people realize their potential. 

Your primary responsibility will be to partner with the initiative team to develop, facilitate and implement knowledge channels and processes that position the team with the information to make optimal decisions. Are you up to the challenge? Apply now. 

 

 

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Partner with internal and external teammates to develop and implement knowledge channels that facilitate integration between capabilities e.g. policy, communications, fundraising, etc.
  • Ensure portfolio goals, metrics and timelines are developed and regularly connect the team to the status of the portfolio and key projects
  • Communicate and hold team accountable to new and existing knowledge processes e.g. recurring portfolio assessments
  • Work with portfolio members and stakeholders to drive regular planning and assessment of portfolio performance, dissemination of learnings, and adjustments 
  • Identify and manage risk inherent in portfolio and key projects; anticipate and embrace change
  • Proactively seek and share information about vision and strategy to ensure that the portfolio team understands the connection between strategy, structure, and how to measure effectiveness of the portfolio and its projects
  • Identify opportunities for optimization through collaboration across the team, particularly across the team’s multiple capabilities and portfolios
  • Project manage discrete projects within the initiative team

 

Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

  • Ability to drive clarity on portfolio and project vision & strategy
  • Ability to drive portfolio of projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects and tracking deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well with all levels of staff and with external partners
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and quickly adapt to changing circumstances 
  • High sense of urgency and initiative 
  • Understanding of and interest in classical liberal ideas and the mission of the Stand Together Community

 

Standout Candidates May Also Bring
