We are building out our education stewardship capability at a time when there is plenty of white space—we will rely on you for your creativity and expertise. In this stewardship writer job, you’ll advocate for and hold our philanthropy to the highest of standards. You internalize powerful stories and thrive in the details. Your unique ability to balance nuanced, personalized messaging and technical writing will be essential to the quality of the Foundation’s education stewardship content.



Your Responsibilities Include


  • Provide the highest level of customer focus from conception to completion, anticipating challenges, handling multiple project revisions, and meeting deadlines
  • Proactively seek and synthesize information from diverse internal sources with varying degrees of detail and drive the inquiry process to get answers when questions remain
  • Create and drive the editing process of high-quality, diverse investor reporting, such as stewardship reports, that convey the organization’s mission and strategy

  • 4+ years of work experience
  • Strong communications credentials
  • Proven communicator with an appreciation for working with elite, high-level audiences, and the business acumen necessary to effectively manage sensitive communications issues
  • Committed to advancing the organization’s strategies, aimed at enabling people to improve their lives through education
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline- and detail-oriented environment and adjusts easily to competing and ever-changing priorities

  • Knowledge and understanding of education fundraising best practices, including donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience with education fundraising or stewardship
