We are looking for an Instructional Design Specialist to help create a high-quality, integrated programming experience for Americans for Prosperity’s Capitol Leaders programs as well as other professional development programming for internal staff and state advocacy partners.
Capitol Leaders, a project of Americans for Prosperity, is a professional development and networking program designed specifically for those serving in government. We focus on learning opportunities that help lawmakers define their personal vision, learn tools and tactics to improve efficacy and outcomes, and create a legacy-defining agenda for their time in office and beyond. While hard skills and tricks of the trade are part of our content, we stand apart from other professional development programs by helping leaders establish their own principles-based framework for decision-making, which equips them to deal with any situations they may face. We believe that public officials are leaders not only in government, but in their communities as private citizens - as such, our alumni may continue to work with our program and grow their leadership skills even after their time in government has ended.
As the Instructional Design Specialist, you will drive the creation of sustainable content using industry leading instructional design best practices.

Here are some examples of the positive impact our grassroots staff have made in the lives of Americans across the country.
Americans for Prosperity is driving long-term solutions to the country's biggest problems through broad-based grassroots outreach. Our activists engage friends and neighbors on key issues and encourage them to take an active role in building a culture of mutual benefit. We have an on-the-ground infrastructure in 36 states that recruits and unites citizens behind a common goal of advancing policies that help people improve their lives.
Americans for Prosperity Foundation is dedicated to educating and training citizens to be courageous advocates for the ideas, principles, and policies in a society of mutual benefit--knowing that leads to the greatest prosperity and well-being for all. Our educational programs break barriers standing in the way of people realizing their potential. By eliminating these obstacles to opportunity, in areas like occupational licensing, free speech, K-12 education, and free trade, we are supporting and working to lift up the lives of individuals and local communities.
We believe that diversity in experiences, perspectives, knowledge and ideas fuels creativity, broadens knowledge, and helps drive success.
