Are you up for the challenge of motivating and leading to build a transformational grassroots movement in Kansas?   Americans for Prosperity’s Kansas Deputy State Director will work to optimize field performance for the Kansas field team to bring more freedom and opportunity to the people of Kansas. The Deputy State Director will execute strategies from state leadership and work closely with the State Director. The Deputy State Director's key contributions will include a heavy grassroots focus, supervising and building personal relationships with staff, imparting knowledge from the field, and identifying personal growth to create top talent field staff. The Deputy State Director will ultimately drive the success of activities in the field including events, phone banks, door knocking campaigns, and grassroots lobbying meetings. They will be required to speak on behalf of the organization in official capacities across the state at events. On behalf of Americans for Prosperity – Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) the Deputy State Director will drive engagement with members of the Pennsylvania legislature, coalition partners, local government officials, volunteers and activists on political, policy, and legislative activities in the Pennsylvania legislature. This includes legislative initiatives, strategy and planning for legislation, regulatory change, and related activities. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with our national policy team on research and analysis of current law and proposed state legislation that fits within the broader scope of AFP and AFPF. Reporting to the State Director, the Deputy State Director will work closely with the federal policy and government affairs teams and assist in the organization's advocacy efforts in the state legislature and executive branch in support of our policy priorities.
